This autumn day its once again time for clearing of undergrowth. We have to clear away trees and shrubs around the two antenna masts on SI9AM.
Now everything is ready to begin the antenna works on 5 and 6 September.
The work was done by SM3JVJ/Lars, SM3EFS/Lennart and SM3FJF/Jörgen.
This weekend SM3BQC/Arne, SM3EAE/Lars, SM3FJF/Jörgen and SM3UQO/Björn worked with the Spiderbeam at SI9AM.
We had rented a sky lift to demount and repair the broken Spiderbeam and the 14 MHz beam.
Now we are in the air on the WARC-bands 10, 18 and 24 MHz.
Also this year SI9AM worked as "Multi Operator Single Transmitter" in the Scandinavian Activity Contest, SAC CW.
SM3CER/Janne and SM3FJF/Jörgen met on Friday evening and started the preparations for the contest and on Saturday SM3EAE/Lars joined them.
During the weekend SM3BQC/Arne visited SI9AM.

SI9AM worked as "Single Operator Single Transmitter" in the Scandinavian Activity Contest, SAC SSB.
SAØBYP Palle met SM3FJF Jörgen on Friday evening in the IKEA restaurant in Birsta, Sundsvall. A cup of coffe and after that Palle got the key from Jörgen to the radioroom SI9AM.
When the contest ended. Palle made 758 QSOs in the log and totaly 199,080 points.
A little problem was reported by SAØBYP/Palle when he worked SAC SSB Contest 11-12 October. Probably - a loose connection in the SWR instrument.
SM3EFS/Lennart and SM3FJF/Jörgen went to SI9AM in Utanede to troubleshoot the reported loose contact.
After measuring and technical review of the SWR meter they found a loose connection on the circuit board. SM3EFS/Lennart took the soldering iron and fixet it. This was followed by some software updates in the computers.
For the seventh time they came back to SI9AM.
ON6UQ/Marcel and DD2CW/Jef for the seventh year, SWL ONL741/Dirk for the third year and ON7TQ/Roger for the second year. The group are now called “The R-Team” at home in Belgium. During the weekend they worked CQ World Wide DX Contest on SSB from SI9AM in the Multi Single Class.
On Wednesday the 22 October they guys arrived to Stockholm by flight. With a rented car they continued towards Utanede. In Njurunda they made a short stop at SM3LIV/Ulla and SM3FJF/Jörgen. They were served coffee and sandwiches. SA3AWT/Pelle and his YL Kicki also took the opportunity to say hallo to DD2CW/Jef who they met during the summer at Jefs Gasthof “Zum Ochsen”, which is about 150 km from Friedrichshafen. Later in the evening when “The R-Team” arrived to SI9AM they were directly QRV on the amateur radio bands.
Every year on October 23 the Thai people celebrate the life and reign of King Chulalongkorn on the anniversary of his death in 1910. So this day it was a ceremony in Thai Pavilion to the memory of King Chulalongkorns death. The guys attended the ceremony in the pavilion.

Also in the Thai Pavilion in Utanede the people celebrate the memory of King Chulalongkorns death. From SI9AM it was the vice president of SI9AM, SM3FJF/Jörgen and SM3EFS/Lennart with the guest operators DD2CW/Jef, ONL741/Dirk and ON7TQ/Roger who joined the ceremony.
After the ceremony SM3FJF/Jörgen guided the foreign visitors around in the pavilion area and told the story behind the construction of this magnificent Thai Pavilion.
On Friday evening, November 28 SM3EAE/Lars and SM3FJF/Jörgen arrived to SI9AM. The first thing they did was to setup contest log N1MM+ and also update some other computer programs.
On Saturday morning 01:00 o'clock (00:00 UTC) the conteset started. It was good condition, so they had a "great start" on the different frequencies.
At 16:00 (15.00 UTC) on Saturday, they had to close the station because both had other commitments for the rest of the weekend. During this fifteen hours they worked 1015 QSO:s on 1.8 to 28 MHz.
